The bar was renamed Coach in 2010 in recognition of its origins as the stables for the horses used to carry mail by the General Post Office.
Coach Bar (formerly known as Senate and Tank Bar) is amidst deep vaulted sandstone niches of the heritage GPO building at No. 1 Martin Place, offering a fusion of striking sandstone alcoves complimented with contemporary stylish decor. Low ottomans create intimate seating offering a warm and rich environment for the inner city bar crowd.
With beer on tap and by the bottle, selected wines cocktails, Coach Bar provides the perfect setting for after work drinks. The food offerings for Coach Bra are a choice of Indian curry for lunch (Butter Chicken and Beef Korma or Lamb Madrass) at $10.50 each.
If Indian curry is not your preferred option you and your guests have the biggest variety of foods for lunch and dinner by simply selecting offerings from the adjacent venues to Coach bar to compliment your drink.
