Referred to by the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide as the "The Ghan of Sydney Sushi Trains" Sosumi offers a unique dining experience bringing you all the offerings you would expect from a sushi train together with a gourmet menu from its open kitchen on the train. Downtown Tokyo meets Sydney.
The chefs take centre stage in the middle of the train creating theatre whether they are cutting their freshly caught and daily delivered whole fresh salmon, tuna or king fish for sashimi, making a variety of rolls and other delicacies for the sushi train.
Every item is served on a different coloured plate, which also represents the price point.
Sosumi Sushi Train is the perfect venue for a quick meal. There is no waiting for food preparation, so it is the ideal location for the businessman on the run or shopper wanting a quick fix, or even for those wishing to enjoy the theatre or something a little different. For those with more time on their hands the extensive list of gourmet Hand Rolls, Udon Soup and other warm options can be ordered a la carte.
A wide variety of hand rolls made to order such as Tempura Prawns, Eel, Spicy Salmon, Tempura Spider Crab, Ikura and Lobster.
From our gourmet menu, there are Vegetarian, Scallops, Prawns and also Wagyu Teppanyaki.
In the evenings, we offer Salmon Miso Yaki, Wagyu Tataki, Udon Noodles, Bento Box and Donburi.
All fish served at Sosumi are "iki-jimi" spiked, "Spiked Brain Dead" or percussion stunned.
The fish are then bled to further improve eating quality and plunged in an ice water slurry to keep them chilled and maintain superior freshness for the journey back to land.
